Tree of Life Papercut Workshop
with Tamar Shadur!
Papercutting is an old folk-art tradition in many cultures. Participants will be guided in the design process to make their own small papercut using simple materials and techniques. The two-hour workshop will allow them to take home their finished work of art. No art background is required. All are welcome.
Tamar Shadur has taught many papercut workshops to people of all ages as a way to pass on the legacy of her late mother, a renowned papercut artist and scholar. Tamar is a tapestry weaver and artist, and has exhibited her work widely. Occasionally, she gives talks on collaborating with her mother in the design and production of her tapestries.
